OUT NOW: +Passover- The Death of Galaxies (single) [MZR045]

Mauve Zone Recordings is pleased to announce the debut of our 45th release, The Death of Galaxies by +Passover-. This (non-LP) single is their 4th single overall, and consists of two tracks.

Track listing:

A-side: The Death of Galaxies (5:11)
B-side: The Haunted Palace (9:29)

Track 1 contains samples of Ben Stein and Fred Savage from the TV programme THE WONDER YEARS.

Track 2 contains a reading of Poe's poem "The Haunted Palace," this reading being performed by James Champagne, with some "help" from Amber the Cat (while recording the vocals, she jumped on my lap and kept meowing and trying to rub against the microphone, which explains why I laugh at one point: you can also hear her purring at the very end of the reading, right before the musical portion kicks in). Yeah, I mispronounced the word "Porphyrogene."

COMING SOON FROM MZR: +Passover-: The Death of Galaxies (single) MZR045

Mauve Zone Recordings is pleased to announce the imminent release of The Death of Galaxies, the new (non-LP) single from +Passover- (and the band's 4th single overall). It will be released this weekend, and consists of two tracks:

A-side. The Death of Galaxies (5:11)
B-side. The Haunted Palace (9:29)

Track 1 is an upbeat electronic dance track about the end of the world, featuring samples of Ben Stein and Fred Savage from The Wonder Years TV programme. Track 2 begins with a "dramatic" reading of Edgar Allan Poe's classic poem "The Haunted Palace," followed by a long and freeform experimental electronic piece.

After this release +Passover- will be going on a temporary hiatus until I have enough new material to do a second album. I hope to release a new Sypha Nadon album at some point in 2018, as it has been almost 3 years since I last completed an album of original material under that project banner.
